Poppy Treffry (the company) was founded in 2003 and started with a small collection of bags, cushions and tea cosies which were quickly snapped up by galleries and boutiques locally and across the UK. They now produce a much larger range of gifts and homewares all featuring Poppy’s (the person) quirky designs and sense of humour! The products are either handmade in England using a variety of vintage, found and recycled fabrics or sourced from UK manufacturers.. They have tea towels printed in Cornwall, ceramics made in Stoke on Trent and printed cushions from Lincolnshire.
Poppy also runs freehand embroidery courses which she runs from her studio in Penzance as well as at a few select locations in the south west. She has written two books on freehand embroidery and opened her first shop in St Ives in 2010.
As a Brightpearl customer, Poppy Treffry used our Ecommerce web designer, Nancy Jim, to help build their new website on Magento. All sales made via their website are of course integrated into Brightpearl and synchronised with their backend business processes such as inventory management, order processing, CRM and accounting, as well as EPOS for their shop in St Ives.
